Technically speaking, that last line isn’t a lie at all because it isn’t a direct statement. ;-)
Maybe Bruno should accept/admit that she doesn’t really want a committed relationship at this time, and make sure guys know that. I don’t think that would send all THAT many guys running in the other direction…
It might be different if she’s attracted to a woman, though. Here’s a joke that was TOLD to me by a lesbian friend, so I know it’s okay. ;-)
“What does a lesbian bring on a second date?”
“A moving van.”
And what does a gay man bring on the second date?
WHAT second date?
– told to me by a gay man.
I’ve heard of that one, too. I personally think a better punchline might be:
“A what?”
;-)
@Ronald, well, so she’s essentially saying “you’re lying, keep on tell me lies” and then he confesses to the truth. Saying, “fine, you caught me in my lies, the truth is…”
Sometimes this stuff doesn’t convey well if read rather than spoken. And my writing can be pretty confusing too (hopefully less so now than back then in 2002)
