On paper, perhaps, Bruno is poor. Homeless, even. But she has a wealth of skills, both practical and artistic, and she has any number of people willing to offer her food and shelter for the pleasure of her company. She has good friends and admirers, yet she is unencumbered by vows or obligations. If she is poor, it is only in spirit.
