I could go on at length about how the first X-Men movie was quality-wise the beginning of the end for Marvel’s mutant franchise and for Marvel itself. But I won’t. You’re welcome. ;-)
Depressed people just might be better tuned to reality. (Red pill? I never got into the whole Matrix thing.)
I admit that the entire idea of something interesting/deep in Hollywood is getting near impossible, but I do admit that I liked the first X-men movie. :) (brr, still get shivers from that one scene, though…)
@ronald The problem is that movie escapism is so sought after that real quality has become an endangered species. Why make ‘em think when you can more easily immerse them in simplicity anyways? Both sides still get what they want, so why change?
I don’t care about the movies themselves one way or the other, it’s just that the comic books have changed to conform to the movies, which is what I perceive as the problem. But that’s just me.
