   Because who doesn’t like it when people who think they know “what’s best” for everybody try to jerk you around like a puppet…?

   ronald, Bruno’s problem is that she gets too much into her own head with too much isolation. Her good friends realize this and try to encourage her to socialize.
   It isn’t cruel, it’s kind.

   Maybe it isn’t always what she *needs*, but that’s why she’s said “no” to social gatherings, too. She isn’t a puppet, she does have boundaries.

   I…don’t believe I used the word “cruel.”

   Nor did I say that Bruno was a puppet. I referred to the phenomenon of people trying to jerk other people around LIKE a puppet.

   Just so we’re clear. :-)

   It’s a bit hard for me to believe you were talking about a general situation, given the context. But I also suck at reading context at the best of times. :P
