Wow, every time I decide that Katalin is completely unlikable, she manages to find an even lower level…
Now you know that Bruno is not her only target.
Oh, that’s disappointing, the old archive is dead.
If Katalin honestly thinks that she gives the impression of someone who merits pity, she’s even more screwed up than I thought. I’m not saying she doesn’t merit pity, btw.
In Bruno’s place, I think I think I’d at least consider going to a motel or staying with the O’Donnals on my own, leaving Katalin to sleep in the car. I’d honestly need to know more about the car and its location before committing myself any further than that, though.
Of course, letting Katalin sleep in the car would set up the moment when she shows up at the door of the O’Donnals or of the motel room on some fabricated pretext without admitting that sleeping in the car was a really stupid idea…
Prickly girl, Katalin. If she hugged a cactus I wonder who would be the more punctured?
She’s prickly around Bruno because she doesn’t really know Bruno, and Bruno can be…difficult sometimes, given her own depression/issues. Katalin has has more contact with her neighbor, and still dislikes him. It’s easy to write off as teenage angst or hormonal mood swings, but Katalin’s all-around defensiveness is beginning to worry me. I wonder if there’s reason for it, if there is something more to her dislike for O’Donnal?
Teenage angst? I thought she was too young to be a teenager. As though it matters. :-|
Kids are becoming teenagers younger and younger all the time now.
