Well, I held out as long as I could but now I officially can’t stand Amy. Sorry.
And there, in Amy’s nutshell, is what’s wrong with Bruno. It’s not just fear of commitment. It’s not fear of attachment. It’s fear of recognition of what must change within her to be something other than fleeing.
How horrible to always be saying goodbye before saying hello. All these departures leave on time. And still Bruno is stuck with Bruno. Unable to even open the door within and take a solitary peek.
I hope Amy will be able to get through to her. She’s such a powerful foil to Bruno; molded in her image, but left to fend for herself instead of choosing to. I’m glad she’s able to so clearly state her boundaries.
