   So Bruno got sick because she did what Gina wanted her to do despite not particularly wanting to do it herself. IMHO Bruno shows great restraint in not bringing this up IMMEDIATELY.

   The old Bruno might have done so. The Bruno she wants to be is still game for something she didn’t want to do before she did it, but enjoyed it in spite of herself. Too bad her resistance is so low. That’s what comes from leading an indoor existence.

   No, it’s what biology looks like. The more you go out (and encounter human-inhabited areas at least), the more times you’ll get sick and then develop antibodies to make sure you’re sick less.

   So yeah, being inside and away from people does make you more sick, more often once you *do* go out, speaking from personal experience. Good news is that if you at least go out a few times a week, it happens less. Exposing your immune system to germs and viruses keeps it more actively “watching”, within reason.
