“Persnickety” is one of those words I would like to come back into vogue.
When I moved to Portland, I did it via a 6 month road trip. I don’t think I ventured out a terrible lot in the first week.
Um, because a scad is another word for a horse mackerel, of the family Carangidae.
Trust me, i didn’t know this either, I looked it up.
Love that background. And that was the kitchen of the house I lived in. What a pretty house.
And too often I’ve had to give myself pep-talks to get myself to go out. Sigh.
I have always loved math. And actuary-ing is a peculiar use of math in real space.
I had to have her meet someone somehow, because I certainly didn’t know how on earth i was going to meet anyone in my new town of Portland.
Eventually i got a job sorting mail in the basement of that building.
Sometimes the telling seems much weirder than the occurrence. More likely, it’s that it’s only objectivity that allows us to see how weird life is.
