I find it interesting, when I find myself judging something, to see if there is any behavior in myself which is analogous.
Editing is actually one of my favorite things to do. Possibly second to brainstorming really bad ideas, which I do to make myself laugh.
I believe when I wrote/drew this strip I was still fulfilling all of my own postal orders. I recall MANY a long wait at the Portland post office I went to.
Fortunately, I have found it easier to let books go, after 20 or so are under my belt now. Like children. Do your best, and then don’t hold them back.
I’m not sure how much is society, and how much is hard-wired, but validation is so important to us. But to good, validation is irrelevant. Good is good.
