Objection to “under god” as religious coercion. unfortunately, the Supreme Court eventually overturned it.
I’ve had several friends in college and since who have stripped. It’s good money. But I was brought up to judge it. And also it brings up obvious issues of objectification etc. This was not a storyline I ever let myself off easy on.
I watched that again a couple years ago, and I really felt it held up well (although it does have many flaws). I mean, in general I love both jodi Foster and Kieran Culkin’s acting to begin with, but the director did so well with people so young, Kieran was 19, admittedly, but Emile Hirsch was 16, Jena Malone 17.
These are my exact three sentiments about fireworks on the Fourth of July. The fourth sentiment involves dogs. The fifth involves use of public funds.
Ugh. When an idea wraps me up this tight, sometimes I become driven to do it, just to get it off my mind. Like jumping off a high rock into water. Just jump, then you can go home already.
I’ve done this in several ways in my life. If I’m judging (or am around someone else who is condemning), I’ll make myself part of the group, so myself (r the person condemning) also have to condemn me. A strange habit.
If you can make yourself take the first step, usually guilt and moral awkwardness will keep you from backing out. Thank goodness for healthy emotions!
