“We don’t have that many bugs.” That’s not what I found. Maybe it’s just that in Paris all the flies are down at street level, checking out the dog crap that nobody cleans up. :(
I spent a few hot July nights in a French countryside gite with no screens. Gorgeous setting, but hornets had nested on the roof. Even with the lights off, they still made their way in, so we couldn’t open the windows day or night.
I like and agree with a lot of things that Europe does, but I think the US has the right idea when it comes to window screens.
