   The sad king, relegated to jester in “his own” court. Dije is still a lovable bastard, though.

   Is it too late, far, far, too late, to point out that since Dije will be moving soon, he’s probably AVOIDING relationships at this juncture, because he’ll just have to break them off anyway?

   Thus Sophia’s been needling him about something that he’s doing on purpose. Which makes her remarks even more pointless than they were in the first place.

   That doesn’t get Dije off of any hook, of course, but at least he’s being a jerk about an ongoing status quo. But whatever.
