   It’s telling, though, that Bruno isn’t needing two sentences worth of prodding and only wanting one this time. She’s realizing she’s been wanting the two sentences for her own idea of safety instead of literally not wanting to come to parties in the first place.

   It’s good to see her more aware of her own artificial self-limiters.

   I had some serious angst at that age, and now at 69 I regret only the time I wasted on it. Yeah, so it’s all hopeless — go do something interesting anyway.
