Wait, I thought SHE was visiting THEM. Well, whatever.
Does ANYONE “reveal everything and have no motivation”? I don’t think so. Yet here’s Stanley “taking the side” of a woman he hasn’t even met. Tsk.
Ron, sometimes people delight in saying relatively insulting things to one another. They aren’t insulted because they are close friends. I call my partner an asshole, prick, dick, etc. infrequently, but I have a big grin on my face when I do it. I’m usually frustrated by him doing something really annoying, but my grin says “Agh! You got me annoyed/pouty and it’s kinda fun that you did!”
It’s fun to poke at one another’s foibles when you’re (at least) close friends, it’s a way of us getting less uptight about our flaws and relaxing about being naturally imperfect, silly human things.
Stanley is pointing out Bruno’s hypocrisy, because she really shouldn’t have complained too much about Gina being private when Bruno herself is the same. It’s just the truth packed up a bit of friendly ribbing.
