   Compartmentalization is a great way to avoid social anxiety, the poor cousin of agoraphobia. The problem is that your friends and acquaintances just might get together and compare notes, and realize you’ve been sandbagging them, which increases their mistrust to the point where you notice, and that, well, it’s time to take flight again to somewhere they almost know you, and miss you, and forgot about the last time.
