   I remember the day a certain unnamed right-wing president of a certain urban university spoke on public radio about liberal arts “training.” It was only then that I realized this supposed “leader” of an education institution had no more concept of what education did and was supposed to accomplish than the veriest employee of the nearest car wash.

   He’s dead now, thank goodness, but his idea of the university as little more than a boot camp for people he despises lives on, and on, and on. And on.

   Is the “equestrian” remark a callback to the circus-at-Stanley’s storyline of so incredibly very long ago? If so, well, her actual name would’ve helped, since there’s no “Equestrian” tag. ;-)
